Taster Days
Otherwise known as ‘have a go’ sessions. Cheerful, friendly and informal, experienced members will help and advise whilst you get to grips with some good bits of stone and discover what its all about. Call or e-mail for dates and locations.
Beginners Walling Courses
Once you are hooked after your Taster Day, walling workshops are held at weekends throughout the year at one of our local training/workshop sites. Providing a thorough grounding in the craft of dry stone walling - friendly, safe instruction is given by our qualified DSWA instructors aided and abetted by experienced members of our branch.
Practice Meets
We regularly hold practice
sessions to encourage
members to meet and wall together whilst working on a conservation project. This is a great way for members to share knowledge, experience and learn from each other whilst enjoying good company, fresh air and some lovely big chunks of stone.
Branch Meetings
Come along to our next monthly meeting held at the Broad Oak Bowling Club, Linthwaite HD7 5TE on the western side of Huddersfield. Meetings commence at 7.30 pm every second Tuesday of the month. Chat to members after the meeting, find out what we do and enjoy a brew and a butty with us. We’ll be very pleased to see you.
